About Label Risa

Label Risa is not just a clothing label, it’s a tribute to the rich, diverse fabric heritage of India. Born on Instagram and grown through word-of-mouth, Label Risa is an independent, Chennai-based custom clothing house founded by Rekha Sandeep and her dedicated team of master tailors.
What began as a personal journey into the heart of Indian textiles has blossomed into a space where tailor-made elegance meets tradition. With every stitch, Label Risa tells a story of heritage weaves, handpicked fabrics, and timeless silhouettes.
Rekha’s inspiration came from her travels across the length and breadth of India from the weaver communities of Andhra and Telangana to the vibrant dyeing pits of Rajasthan. Along the way, she collected more than just fabrics she collected stories, techniques, and a deep respect for craftsmanship. These journeys laid the foundation for Label Risa, envisioned to bring the flavours of Indian fabrics to wardrobes that value authenticity and comfort.
At Label Risa, every outfit is made-to-measure, with love and care. Our design studio specializes in short kurtis, long kurtis, flowy maxis, and everyday ethnic wear that celebrates the uniqueness of each woman. We work exclusively with peculiar and earthy fabrics like Ikkat, Kalamkari, Indigo, and handloom cottons, carefully sourced to reflect the character and soul of the regions they come from.
Each piece is not just stitched, it is crafted with attention to detail, personalized fit, and respect for the fabric’s original spirit.
